D155 can be used straight as a detail spray or diluted to be used as clay lube. M135 is detail spray that leaves protection behind, hydrophobic and can boost a wax. M135 can not be used as clay lube due to it being to slick and not allowing the clay to remove the contaminants.

Real good video to watch if you have some time.

M34 Final Inspection is body shop safe. I don't think M135 is.

D155 Last Touch is a gloss enhancing quick detail spray that can be used straight as a typical QD spray, or diluted 1:1 for use as a clay lube. M135 is essentially the pro version of Ultimate Quik Detailer. We hate to correct you on this Jarhead, but M135 is not body shop safe. While the Mirror Glaze is, as you point, primarily designed for body shop use, some products in the line are actually not body shop safe. This includes M135, M21, M20, M26 and M40. M34 Final Inspection is our only mist and wipe quick detail spray that actually is body shop safe.

        OH geesh Guz.
Now I am all wondering what happened. I used to use UQD for clay lube and it seemed to work real well?? I never heard the no-no before.
Last year I switched to using ONRW&W as a detail spray/clay lube mix for the claying process.

Please give me some suggestions for an Ultimate clay lube.
And a congrats on the MT300 order.....for a helluva a deal I might say. I'll be waiting on the review.

Thanks for the correction mr stoops. I was unaware of that. I was under the impression that mirror glaze was all body shop safe. I'm glad u caught that!

But spazz Im pretty sure there's nothing in the ultimate line that's really clay lube.

I should have said the best clay lube. The word ultimate in that context is confusing. The ONRW&W works, but is somewhat grabby.

I only use the Mothers clay since it comes in the kit. The Mothers Showtime seems to work really well.
The bottle of spray doesn't last through the amount of clay so I have to substitute.

And not to derail the thread, I got a Flex 3401 to put my Meguiars products on. I felt my PC wasn't doing it quick enough and wanted the best results for my ULW.

There is a thread here somewhere with Michael Stoops stating that about UQD.

I am looking forward to the MT300 DA. I am holding off polishing my car until then. I will just be claying and white waxing the Grand Prix until I get it.

Showtime is a good clay lube but if you want something cost effective then D155 last touch would be the way to go. It will last you along time. Mines lasted over a year as I just use it for claying. Works well with the nanoskin clay alternatives and the Clay Magic clay bar that I have been using. I use M135 in between washes and on occasion as a drying aid. I hear good things about M34 as clay lube but it could get expensive if you are a detailer, which you and I are not.

Congrats on the flex. That's going save you lots of time and giver you great results. I keep hearing guys saying to get the interchangeable backing plate for it. Save the PC and use it with 3" and 4" pads. It is still a good machine.

I bought myself a bottle of #2 Fine Cut Cleaner! It's really nice that it's d.a. approved. I remember my old bottles from the 90's-early 2000s... it was a lot more runny. The aroma is different too. The new formula smells like someone poured some #7 into the bottle.

It works really nice for light defects. You can use it very sparingly, and it finishes out great. I have a feeling that this product is way over looked.

I also got to buff out some 1000 grit sanding marks on my scrap piece. I rubbed them out with a pc7424xp, 105, and a rupes microfiber cutting pad. I posted it to the Megs Facebook page...

Modified your post down to just talking about #2 Fine Cut Cleaner. Your right, they are several Mirror Glaze Professional line that aren't used much any more or at least talked about!

I haven't used all of them but pretty much most of them over the years and really never had any negative things to say about any one of the older DAT Products. In fact I still love the DAT products and will be getting more from time to time. I guess it's what I'm used to and started out with, but now that Meguiars has these new technology pads & disk I bet that they will make the older DAT products really produce some amazing finishes quicker then they did back several years ago.

My paint Correction favorite combo was M85 / M80(I loved this stuff!!!) M7 / and 2 very thin coats of #16 with a light touch this combo would really bring out old dead oxidized Single Stage paint to a deep rich color that looked new again!!

I'm a bit late to the party, but in the past couple weeks thx to the nice sale prices, I've bought myself:
-M105 secondary label. [to go with my 16oz. self cleaning bottle]
-D114 Rinse Free Express Wash secondary label and a 32oz. secondary dispensing bottle w/chemical resistant sprayer to use as clay lube/waterless wash/rinseless pre soak/quik detailer bottle.
-Wheel Brightener spray bottle with acid resistant sprayer
-1 brand new thin finishing foam disc.
-2 brand new thin foam polishing discs.
-A set of Megs 5" Extra Cut Microfiber discs.
-California Drying Towel aka waffle weave.
                      -32oz. 303 Fabric Guard.
-High powered led flashlight that I hope works as a swirl finding light.

This is what my cabinet 1st looked like.

This is what it looks like now. My stock of Meguiars Detailer/professional products.

The rest of my supplies, products, towels & tools are stored nearby in trunk organizors/totes/ziplock bags etc.

I think #2 would make a great one step product. So far I like it. I've only used it with the craftsman sander, which doesn't have all that much power. 2.8 amps. But, an orange ccs on that thing, with #2 will remove a good amount of swirls. I will be trying it with the PC 7424xp, Rupes Duetto, and the 3401.

I also still LOVE #9! I used that product a lot through the years.

Are they still making #80? I had to dump out half a gallon or so of that not long ago. Again, another excellent product.

What's you take on using m85 on a dual action machine?

Well, I did it again. I went shopping online with 2 things in mind and ended up with 10 things in my cart. Lol. The good thing is I scored on a bunch of stuff. Including the new 2015 goodies that I've been wanting to have.

I was all done at 8 items but I noticed I was only $2 short for qualifying for a Free 3pk. of Supreme Shines. So I picked up a Megs spray bottle of Leather Cleaner [which I'll fill with APC 10:1] to put me over the hump. All this stuff for $61! Free shipping/no tax! Can't beat that with a bat :bugups
Thx Guz, for reminding me about the sale

As you can see, I was scraping near the bottom of the nessessity barrel on that order. Lol.
But I look at it as a good thing.. Because I'm a believer that the good things wont come if you're totally unprepared for them. So I my not need that headlight restoration kit for any of the cars I maintain daily, but if I catch a custumer who's big need happens to be wanting the headlights restored, then I'm equiped to handle the situation.
Same with the Odor Eliminator/fogger. I can just imagine that thing coming in handy 1 day to top off an extreme interior detail.

I bought the D102 to have as my back up plan. In case I run into a severe stain that needs direct attention.
I feel good about finally adding this kind of stuff
