  • beware of unscrupulous people

I don't really know where to post this but I tried to use a new bottle of the detailing spray. I honestly think someone bought it, used it (or dumped it), and returned to Wal Mart filled with water. Shame on people. Either they are jokesters or tight wads. I didn't pay attention if it was sealed or what just went to spray behind ties from road splatter and noticed it wasn't slick. Had no smell either.

Had something similar happen before with clay bar kit. Got it home, seal was broken and no mf towel. SMH. CHECK SEALS AND MAKE SURE ALL SPRAYERS ARE OFF POSITION AND ALL BOTTLES CLEAN!

AT LEAST WAL MART RETURNS ANYTHING.

    Re: beware of unscrupulous people

"At least WalMart returns anything" and that is often the problem.

A guy is out in the parking lot with a women and child in the car while he is working on a piece of stereo equipment on the roof of the car. He's using a screwdriver and removes the internal parts of a piece of car stereo equipment. He opens what appears to be a brand new box, removes an identical stereo component from the box and plastic wrapper and starts working away on it with a screw driver and removes the internal components. He puts the new components into the older enclosure and puts the old components into the new enclosure. He puts the old enclosure into the car and seems to be installing it somewhere in the back seat. He moves to the driver's seat, starts the car and turns on the stereo. Music emanates the car. He turns off the car and gets out and places the new enclosure with the used, old internals into a plastic bag and stuffs it in the new box. He hands it to the women and she heads off to the store.

Making some assumptions. An amplifier out of warranty, purchased some time ago at WalMart, died in the car. The husband being a very intelligent guy decides to fix the amplifier. He sent his wife to buy another one of the same make and model at WalMart. She brings it to the car and he steals the internals of the new amplifier and puts them in his old non-functional amplifier. He takes the internals of the dead amplifier and puts them in the newly purchased enclosure. He sends his wife back to the store and gets a cash refund for what she tells the store is an amplifier that doesn't fit in her car. The child, their son, learns yet another lesson in moral, ethical behavior and how to screw everyone who shops at WalMart.

Of course, many assumptions are being made and what really happened may be quite different than appearances. He could have received the new amplifier as a warranty replacement and was making the switch as part of that warranty replacement and was required to return the old amplifier as part of the return process.

Yes, ShinyMopar, things are not as they always seem.

No doubt it's a good idea to check that seals are in place, that the little guard on some style trigger sprayers are intact, etc. But we can't really blame this on Walmart as an unscrupulous individual could bring back almost any product to almost any store for a refund, especially if they still have the receipt. Nonetheless, we hate that this happened to you, ShinyMopar, so if you don't mind shooting me a PM with your name and shipping address I'll see what we can do for you. Yes, I know full well that you did not post this looking for some sort of resolution or adjustment or whatever from us. I'm just in a really good post holiday weekend mood.
