  • Meguiars Wipedown at the Russo & Steele Collector Automobile Auction in Newport Beach

Had a great time with the Meguiars Wipedown Team (pleasewashmedetailing, ajokeman, creampuff, and myself) at the Russo & Steele Collector Automobile Auction yesterday in Newport Beach. No cars were auctioned on Thursday (June 20), but we had several dozen cars in the staging area that needed some Meguiars Gold Class Detail attention in preparation for the Russo and Steele fundraising Gala that evening. The vehicles chosen for the Gala are expected to be among the top bid cars in the auction over the next three days (June 21-23). At the end of the day and after we wrapped up, I took a stroll around the staging area where our prepped vehicles had been assembled and made a video of the cars we got to work on. Lots of sun streaking and wayyyy to many closeups of instrument clusters (sorry), but still a way cool assembly of exotic super cars, hot rods, and American muscle classics. Long video at 13+ minutes, but enjoy as much of it as you wish.

      Nice video, John!

Thanks to everyone who helped out through the weekend - you guys (and girl!!) are awesome. We know R&S had some issues being a bit short handed with drivers, and since all the cars were kept outside and uncovered, which is a bit unusual for an auction like this, wipe down was a bit more challenging at times that it might have been. Still, you all stepped up and did an outstanding job, and for that we thank you!
