Found this on the Internet. This is why use should stay with Meguiars tire dressings.
Thought I would give everyone a heads up on my recent experience with Dupli-Colors Tire Shine product. I'm super **** about my vehicles, so of course I taped off my wheels and covered the exposed body before applying the product. I applied 4 coats over a 30 minute period. I waited an addition 10 minutes before removing the tape on the wheels. Now the product applies with a fine oil consistency and runs very easy. Reminds me of applying silicone spray. The can states that if the product starts to run, wait 5 minutes and apply another coat. Once I removed the tape, I found 3 wheels which the product had actually contacted the wheel. I used rubbing alcohol and a grease and wax remover to try and remove the product as direct by the product. To my surprise, very little of the product actually came off! I was left with several brown stain like areas on my wheels. I have tried numerous products trying to make a dent in the stain, brake clean, rubbing compounds, Mr. Clean erase etc. with no success. I have emailed Sherman Williams which owns Dupli-Color with the pictures and my disappointment in the product. I'll let you know if they ever get back to me.
