  • Forum Running Slow?

Is it just me or does this forum seem to be running slow? Seems like page load times are significantly slower than other sites that I frequent. Time for a new host? I would consider paying a subscription fee if this would improve site performance.

Yes it runs slow for me as well. Much slower than the other forums I frequent.

Today MOL has set a new record. At 8:15 AM CST with 4 members and 172 guests active, pages are taking 40-45 seconds to load. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. It is really sad to see one of the finest automotive forums becoming unusable.

It did seem to have picked its' speed back up earlier in the week, but now seems it hit the wall again...sigh.

              Note to Webmaster...

Has Meguiar's accepted that there is an issue? I believe it would be beneficial to post a response of some sort to keep us informed.
Has Meguiar's indicated that a fix is in the works or given a timeframe for things to get back to normal. This issue is months old now.
Has Meguiar's responded to any users who have brought this up. I notice this slowness is apparent to users in many states and countries.

I can only guess that this may not happening in your corporate intranet and therefore are assuming the problem is one of the users or in the internet. Are there any users out there who are getting sub-second responses to their clicks or posts? Are the speeds similar to other forums?

Lastly, even the most ardent of us Meg's fans, of which I admit to being for nearly 50 years, cannot wait 20-40 seconds after each mouse click for a page to load or a response to post. Please communicate with us about this issue.

Please don't read this post as being critical of Meguiar's. I love the company, it's products, it's policies and the way it treats it's customers. I post this because I care. Please let us know whats going on and I stand ready to help in testing if that would be of any benefit.
