I hope that wasn't your new car that happened to. By the color of the paint it probably is! We feel your pain. The problem is you don't know who is responsible for dumping the rocks on the road. Does your state have a law requiring loads to be covered?

We don't have a covered load law in Indiana and this happens quite frequently. I have a few on my '04 GTO but I am lucky not to have any chips that large.

In states that have no covered load laws, the companies that run dump trucks should be required to contribute to a fund for free paint chip and dent repairs! They're tearing up the roads, dumping rocks that damage our paint, and we're left stuck with the bill.

Sorry, I had that confused with Mosca's new Subi with the pearlescent paint job. But the damage is even more maddening for a custom paint job!
