  • New Trend at Coin Op Washes??

Hey guys. Just took a quick break from my homework to wash the truck at the coin op. While there, this is the SECOND time (out of two times) that I have seen a person at the Coin Op using the Engine/Tire Degreaser over their entire car... I know this because the "soap" is green instead of white...

    So, it's got me wondering...
Are these people plain crazy? OR Are they trying to remove some substance such as sap or something? If so, I would think there has to be a better way than spraying Engine/Tire Degreaser over your entire car. Maybe they are trying to remove wax??

    Thoughts?

I'd go with the former. Those people are insane if they are really doing that!

Honestly I think that soap is the first option. People might just be putting their money in the machine, not pressing an option button and going "Oh, looks like the soap was ready!" Then I'm sure the rinse it off and admire their newly cleaned car, none the wiser.

Next time you see this happen, would you be brave enough to ask the person why they're doing what they're doing? Odds are they just have no clue what the difference is.

Man you're really puttin the pressure on me now haha. I don't really know if I would ask them... I could just see someone being like "uhm because I am, got a problem?". At the same time, you've got me kind of motivated to ask someone next time. Hmm... We'll see....

Gosh! I would think the soap at those places would be harsh enough! Those seem like the same people that use the brushes there. lol

Man I have a great idea!!! Im going to the coin op and instead of washing my truck with the weak soap they have, im using simple green!!!! Yee haw, it dosent get any better than that!!!

Sorry but that was just going through my head and thought you all would get a kick out of it. Dont be surprised if you get an answer like that Nick.

I get a kick about people who post on forums saying its safe to use the brush if you rinse it and do the windows first because the foam will wash the debris off the bristles.

And Smack, yeah I thinlk ill just keep my mouth shut. Probably the best choice these days.
