        I never have. If you're worried about it ground faulting from getting wet (mine gets wet daily) then you can buy an extension cord with GFCI protection. The plugs on my generators have gone bad after a year or two, its probably from not being properly grounded and generating alot of heat. But a plug costs about $2 from Home Depot and is pretty simple to replace.
