Re: Guys in gas station parking lot... impressed!
HA HA That's awesome!!!! How dare he spray that stuff on your car without asking! Good thing you had your Meg's Micro's on hand. I hate those sales guys, they have no idea what they are really selling, and even how to apply it. GOOD SAVE!

Mike, you should have invited him to a Saturday Detail Class to show him the ropes on proper vehicle care and maintenance procedures.

But I felt bad for him because his towel looked like he'd been cleaning brake dust off of German cars for a few days, so I suggested he grab a fresh, clean towel every time he approaches a new vict......er, customer so as not to scare them off. He looked at his rag, shrugged his shoulders as if it weren't all that bad, and walked away.

No offense to that guy, but he probably has no idea about many aspects of detailing and thinks what he's selling is a cure all or the best all in one product on earth. He would probably be better off doing something else with what he's selling because he wouuld very likely be doing more damage to the car than improve it.

Ah, one of those aerosol ones. I've seen videos on YouTube of those. Probably not the same stuff but similar. I always wonder what's really in there *shudder*

Yeah, that rag was the most horrifying part of the whole experience. My hubs is getting sick of me talking for the past two days about how he couldn't find any brake dust in my wheels. #feltgreat

If you don't mind me asking, what was the name of this mystery brand. I'm curious. PM me so you don't have to put it on the board.

Re: Guys in gas station parking lot... impressed!
I had similar experience about a year ago in LA. A guy at a gas station was pushing me Meguiar's aerosol QD for $20 a bottle.

He chose the wrong victim - The Mustang was protected by Meguiar's.
Nice story.

Your car looks pristine! You showed those guys what Meguiar's is really about.
