I own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
M105 and a good wool pad shouldn't do that very easily at all.
Now, short cycle M84 on an old pad spinning on edge at a high speed and oh yeah, you'll get plenty of holograms.
My niece used to date a guy who's dad owns a body shop, and this young guy did some rotary finish work in the shop and noticed that he could control the appearance of the holograms. Being a bit of an artist he got this idea that he could, on lightly polished sheets of bare steel, create some interesting patterns. So he did, and then painted primarily underwater scenes along with the holograms he'd created and ended up with these pretty amazing pieces of art. The holograms gave a wonderful 3D underwater effect that really fooled the eye - you were always tempted to reach into the image and see how deep it was. Crazy stuff.

I was referring to how to correct it, not what caused it actually Mike. All good

That would be something to see. Kinda like the guy who does (in chalk I think) sidewalks, streets, etc in a 'super' perspective as to look like holes and canyons.
It sure is. It's all about knowledge, technique and skill.
Hence the value of forums like this one, and people like your good self...
