Last week I got to experience one of the most awesome car crazy events on the planet - SEMA. Getting there was the hardest part - a 15 hour flight from Johannesburg to New York, followed in short succession by a 5 hour flight from New York to Las Vegas. A long haul, but the hours spent in cattle class quickly faded as they were replaced with hours enjoying the sights of SEMA and AAPEX. Despite walking for 7+ hours per day for several days, we didn't manage to get through all that was on offer at the two venues. Thank you to Meguiars and Keizin (the South African distributor of Meguiars products) for providing me with an opportunity of a lifetime. Arriving a few days before the show also allowed me time to take in the sights and sounds of Las Vegas. The fact that I was in town over the Halloween weekend made the experience even more special.
Mike has posted a number of photos from the show and I don't want to duplicate the effort. However, here are a few photos that I enjoyed:
Wraptivo is fun and easy in all sizes

X-Box on the go

The old

And the new

Awesome artwork on the cars

Crazy rides

Life size Hot Wheels
Amazing Hot Rods

Meeting some legends of the detailing world

Not a detailing legend, but still one of my favorite characters from American Chopper

And finally - this photo was the one that for me captured the variety on offer at SEMA
