NCAA Anyone?

My bracket is now officially dead.

One bracket had Duke going all the way and the other has UNC. Arizona losing hurt me big time.

I did, however, call the Vermont/Syracuse game . I only did this out of respect for my home team.

One thing about this tournament is certain, it's been one of the most exciting in the last few years. Every recent game has been down to the wire.

March madness is the best time of the year!

It looks like the ACC crashed and burned , except for UNC

I wasn't too sure about Duke, but Wake had too good of a team to loose this early in the brackets!

Carolina has the talent to take it all, but it's too close to call IMO.

I look for Louisville to be in the title game along with UNC, but I think Pitino's experience could make the difference in the game.

Nothing against Roy Williams, but until one of his teams win a crown.......

Roy should be a strong choice for coach of the year though.

Now if Dean Smith were coaching this team......

As usual, the "prime time" ACC team gets all the calls. But it's part of the game and I expected it. Illinois is in trouble if they don't start hitting their 3s, and soon! The refs are letting UNC absolutely mug them inside. And they're giving May more steps than NBA refs gave Jordan!

I thought the game could have been officiated better than it was....Illinois got by with some illegal screens in the 2nd half, so I guess it all balanced out in the end.

To be honest about it, I was doubtful that Carolina was going to win before the game started, but I knew that they had the horses to do it, if they stayed focused for 40 minutes.

I went to Purdue, so I am used to the disappointment in college basketball LOL! I'm sure glad Sean May didn't go to IU! He backed out of going to IU when the General got canned!

Sounds good to me! I pull for Duke in the big tournament, but outside of that, I could care less about them....Duke is a hated foe around here, compared to UNC.

Gene Keady had some good teams....It's a shame he never won the big one. But a lot of good coaches have come up a little short in that regard.

The last time that Carolina won the big one, was when Eric Montross was the center.....He came from Indiana too.....We'll take all the big men and sharpshooters you have....

Who are they losing?

Keady is known for getting the most out of mediocre players. He was not that good at recruiting. He had some very good assitants, like Frank Kendrick and ..... Bruce Weber, that could recruit, and once they left, things started to go downhill.

Our decline was more gradual than that of Indiana. IU went from the national championship game, which they lost, to no post season at all two years later!

On a night where neither team really played 100% in my opinion, I think the better of the two prevailed...

Man for man, I thought UNC had the better team, but Illinois had great chemistry coming into the game.
