i have a 06 nissan sentra and the stock tire size is 195/55R16 which has a sidewall height of 107.25mm and diamter of 620.77mm, i would like to go to a 225/50R16 which has a sidewall height of 112.5mm and a diameter of 631.19, it is within 3% of original diameter, i was wondering if anyone knew if they will rub or if there is website of something that has lists of tires that will fit each car or something like that, if not i will be calling a nissan dealer and asking them.

Re: wanna go with wider tires but have questions
On my 2011 Subaru Impreza, the stock tires/wheels were 205 55 16....I have since swapped out the tires/ wheels and mounted 225 40 18.
No rubbing or issues.

Re: wanna go with wider tires but have questions
Forgive me if I am saying something you already know.
Reading what you have written, you have increased the overall diameter of your tyre and wheel combination by 10mm, that is 5mm per side of the tyre. I wouldn't expect any tyre and bodywork/suspension interference from the diameter increase.
Now, you are changing the width of the tyres, moving from 195mm to 225mm wide.
With an increase of 30mm tyre width you may get tyre/bodywork interference or tyre to suspension interference.
Hope the information helps.
