    Here you go, Tim:
Get rid of almost any window tint with ordinary household items If your window tint is too dark or is scratched, discolored, or bubbly, you can easily remove it without spending a lot of money, whether you're working with vehicle or home...

Take it to a local tint shop, they should do it for under $50. It's not worth the effort and frustration to me

I've heard the exact same, plus I've heard you can seriously damage the heat strips if your windows have them.

Tim, I recently had to remove the window tint on my wife's car after she got a fix-it ticket. From all the research I did it seemed that a small steamer was the way to go and sure enough, it worked great! I had one film break on the first window, but once I got the technique down the second window film came off in one big piece. Just had to do a bit of clean up near the bottom edge with a razor blade, but all in all it was pretty easy.

I used a razor, steel wool and APC+. Super easy. Took maybe 10 minutes a window.
