This could be a possible driveshaft balancing issue, or again, it could be wheels out of balance. It is not at all uncommon to get wheels balanced and have it be out of spec immediately.

front wheel drive car, no drive shaft, and ive gotten the wheels balanced 4 times already, if it is the wheel out of balance then ill live with it until i get new tires, im not gonna keep wasting money getting my wheels balanced.

Got a spare? Try throwing it on (in place of your bent wheel) and see if the shimmy is still there.

Oh poo...I thought you were working on the truck, went back and reread some post(s)...I'm really leaning towards, a CV joint going south.

na my el camino is perfect, plus its a garage queen, i drive it only in the nicer weather but only about 2000 miles a year.

did it, didnt help, at my next oil change i am going to have my motor and transmission mounts checked, when i put my car in drive the engine moves, i am also going to next time i am at speeds where i get the vibration i am going to take off overdrive and see if the vibration stops.

                      I own a 2004 Mustang Mach 1 and a 2005 F250 Powerstroke FX4.

I have never asked a detailing question on Mach1registry and never on FordTruckEnthusiasts.

I've never asked for a mechanical diagnosis on MeguiarsOnLine.

                      Can you guess why?

                      P.S.: Ball joints.

What do you expect? Amateur diagnosis over the internet. Why do you think your doctor visits need to be in person?

I think this is great. Mechanical diagnosis on a detailing site!

By the way, replacing the suspension may or may not include ball joints and we cannot judge the quality of parts or workmanship.

Maybe the OP can post a sound file of him imitating the noise this problem creates. Is it "wrrrrrrr," or more like "whump, whump," or maybe "eeeeeew," or "screeeeeeek, screeeeek," or?

Ummm, any 1/2 qualified and competent mechanic would have replaced the ball joints had there been any play.

It wouldn't make sense to "not" change the lowers.
