  • Moral question(not political)...

Looking to add a bit of verbiage to the van and also the new website(in the works).

Is "The Finest Detailing Artist In The DFW Area" too cocky or just too much in general??

    Honest answers only please!!!!
I know I am, I'm just asking if it's ok to tell everyone else? LOL!!!! KIDDING!!!!!

But seriously, is it too much? I'm struggling with this.

    Thanks,

I think is a bit over the top.

Of course, "finest" is just bragging and the word "artist" is just arrogant to me.

    just my opinion....

It's not too cocky if you are able to back it up. I like the "artist" in the slogan btw. I think detailers that have a real passion for what they do are real artists!

          Re: Moral question(not political)...

You should just stop after the word Artist

Plus, why would you limit yourself to just the DFW area?

From your reputation here, it seems to describe your work accurately. However.......

.....People project their own motivations, so I would make my decision, based on what feels right to YOU. Personally I don't make decisions on negative feedback from people who don't know me or my work ethic.

Of course, a money-back guarantee, would show you've not only got the guts to tell it like it is, but, back up the claim.

You might be occasionally taken advantage of, but it's part of getting in front of new clients.

I think it's over the top too. I don't think the word "artist" fits in well in this case - I mean, I get what you are saying...but I don't think it would work for the general public.

i think the verbiage is a little much and yes you have and do some pretty good work for the past couple of years, especially since you had the Megs MF DA system 3-4 years in testing prior than the rest us but thats cool (cheater) :-) ... maybe you should just wrap the red van in a bad ace wrap that is over the top then in conversations you could direct them back to here or to your site and see for themselves.

What's all on the Van right now?

Assuming that it just has your company name and a phone number - I would go with some simple and direct like "Let us make your car look new again" - something more along those lines. No need to get clever or fancy - I would think you want something that is universally quickly understood and also something that might get someone that reads it to thinking "yeah, it would be nice if my car looked new again". Just my thoughts.

I think that if people that work at Subway can call themselves "Sandwich Artists", I think Nick has every right

Nothing wrong with it. I would rather hire someone with your confidence than hire someone who claims to be a "pretty good detailer" or someone who advertises, "you could do worse".

Just swap out "DFW area" for "Texas", and you're done.

Lots of people/products call themselves the best/greatest.... shouldnt be a problem.

Not sure about the wording of the slogan though... sounds a bit wordy/messy for me.
