  • 64oz Gold Class Wash $3 at Wal-Mart

Was at my local Wal-Mart (Northampton, MA) and they had 64oz Gold Class Car Wash for $3 on clearance. Picked up 3. Also had Hot Shine Tire Gel Kits for $4.

For some reason the 64oz GC was $3 and the 48oz GC was $4. Go figure.

One of these days I'm going to have to get one of you guys to buy me some things and then post it over here - it's criminal how cheap stuff is in the US compared to over here in Australia!! We'd be paying closer to $40 for the 64oz GC wash - on special, maybe at best $30...

Look at the Detailer Line of products. They are concentrated. Hyper wash dilutes at 400:1 and one gallon of Glass Cleaner Concentrate make eleven gallons of product.

It doesn't pay to to ship water to Australia.

(The only criminals are your elected officials who put high taxes and import duties on imported products. Well, maybe Australian voters can be blamed, too. This kind of **** happens when the government takes away your guns. Didn't they just outlaw most of your knives?)

I wonder if the Meguiar's Pentecostal censor will *-out fish like carp? Even my Mormon friends say ****!

The markups are across the board, regardless of what 'range' it's from. Import duties are 5% if your importing an amount greater than $1000 in value (including the postage costs) So the markup itself is still excessive. It's why whenever I buy any Meguiar's stuff, it's always imported from the US, as even after postage costs, I'm still saving around 30-40% overall!!!

And yes Australia is quite tough on gun and knife control....what the hell do we all need guns and knives for anyway - we're not crime infested you know...

Buy the Detailer Line products as they are cheaper and often concentrated. You'll pay the same shipping for 2 64 oz. jugs of Gold Class car wash as one 128 oz. jug of Detailer Hyper Wash.

128 oz. of Gold Class @ once oz. per gallon / five gallon bucket = 25.6 washes.

128 oz. Hyper Wash at 400:1 dilution = 401 gallons of car wash / 5 gallons per wash = 80.2 washes.

I'm in Wyoming. Open carry is legal without a permit and as of July 1st, Wyoming joins Alaska and two other states in not requiring any kind of permit to carry concealed. We also have a variation of the Castle Doctrine wherein you cannot be sued by the criminal or his family or heirs if you legally shoot him in your home.

I carry a firearm because it weighs less than even the smallest police officer in Cody, Wyoming. As far as I'm concerned, the ability to carry a firearm is the difference between citizen and subject.

Fair enough, I'm not on MOL to be involved in a gun control debate!!!

The issue with most retailers with overseas shipping, is that anything over 32oz, the shipping costs skyrocket....so unless I was to import a ridiculous amount of stock (and then pay import tax as it would need to be over $1000 to make the shipping costs justifiable), I have to stick to the small stuff....

But I was referring more to compounds, detail sprays etc - car wash stuff I can get through local manufacturers here in Aus, so it's not all bad....
