I went to the Chicago Auto Show last week. It always a great place to see the
latest offerings from the auto industry. I'm always checking out the newest
things the engineers have dreamed up and put into production, and the concept
cars always draw interesting reactions from the crowds. One thing that was
disappointing was the small army of workers dressed in jump suits removing
fingerprints from paint and glass with what appeared to be glass cleaner and
ordinary shop towels. Many of these cars finishes were starting to show swirls
from this improper care. It's surprising that the automakers wouldn't notice
this and take the appropriate action.
