  • I had to share this LOL

So I detailed my boss's truck today (98 White Silverado ext. cab) daily driver ol work truck with very chalky paint, and ALOT of defects. We install granite countertops and tile,so work has been slow this week.No installs to do today, and not much work to do around the shop so he said I could do his truck if I wanted to work today....

So anyway,I cleaned and polished it(in the shop) 105/205 didnt turn out perfect,(he didnt really care) about 90% corrected...So it was getting about quiting time applyed NXT 2.0 while waiting I was cleaning things up,took some stuff out to my truck, the boss had been cutting a bunch of 2x4s during the day,I come back in to see him using a leaf blower trying to blow all the sawdust out the garage door!So I ruturn to a big sawdust storm in the air with a truck with wax still on the paint...My DA pads, microfibers sitting right there next to the truck (most dirty, some clean and unused) Alllllllllll covered in sawdust and I look down the side of the truck and sawdust alllll stuck to the wax.......I'm like really!!!!!! I was speechless. No common sense! And he knew that there was wax still on the paint that hasnt been wiped off,I had just told him 5-10mins earlier.LOL

    Wow. What a knucklehead. Sheesh.
I hope you can clean all your pads. Also you should clean your D/A because im sure there is sawdust inside of it from the openings in the side of the tool.

      What a mess.

Did you re-wash the vehicle and your tools and re-applied the sealant?

I had a roommate in college that would have done that. He was on College Jeopardy (honestly) but couldn't use a screwdriver if his life depended on it.
