  • Desert Car Kings

Anybody else watching Desert Car Kings? I think this reality series was probably inspired by the glut of treasure hunter shows like Pawn Stars/Auction Hunters/Storage Wars/Auction King/American Pickers.

The series focuses on the day to day operations of Desert Valley Auto Parts in Arizona, a large auto salvage business specializing in old American made cars and owned by a father and son, Ron and Jason McClure. Each week, the owners pick out one American classic from their salvage yard and hand it over to their mechanics and paint & body experts to completely restore the classic for auction, within a 2-3 week time-frame. Really cool and interesting to watch

Haven't heard of it but that's a lot of cars in that lot. They certainly have a choice selection. Never will run out of cars. These guys must be pretty good if they are doing a complete restore. I will have to check it out.
      Thanks CC.

Actually, I like that show its pretty cool to see how people come get parts and the cars they restore. From the episodes I have watched the cars they restore look sweet but they haven't made much money on them, like 2 or 3 hundred bucks.
