Anybody going to the Philly auto show this year??? I know I'm going on Saturday but wasn't sure if there was going to be any kind of Meguiar's vendor or booth down there to stop at. Any ideas Mike?

I'll be there both saturdays and monday. I've been going for years and the only detailing booth is Ibiz. I wish someone else would show up there a Meguiars booth would be nice.

I don't know. My very good friend Mike Kennedy runs the Special Events department and determines which shows we do and which ones we have to take a pass on. Meguiar's supports and sponsors I think over 4000 shows a year, I'll try to get some accurate numbers. I've also requested an itinerary of events Meguiar's will be at but I can't post it. I should be able to answer specific questions like these however.

Alright well thanks for the input guys I appreciate it...but since detailbarn brought up that Ibiz will be there, I forgot a funny story from last year. A product representative was at the show last year doing demonstrations for the wax, and I still remember him telling the observers that if they decided not to use the ibiz wax, he asked them to use Meguiar's because they are a great brand and company...just a little anecdote I thought was funny, especially coming from the competition.

Ibiz was at the Indianapolis Auto Show. Many many years ago, Meguiars used to have a display there, but not in recent years.
Meguairs is at the World of Wheels show this year at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. I have never been to the World of Wheels but my guess is that it was not as big as the main Auto Show but I could be wrong on that one.

One thing I noticed at the Indianapolis Auto Show was that many of the cars had a lot of swirls and scratches. I was especially disappointed in the Pontiac display. There are a lot of dealer detailing personnel that need to attend one of Mike's detailing clinics. The only displays that had flawless paint finishes were Mercedes and BMW. The Audis looked pretty good too.

Bentley had a display there but the cars were roped off so you couldn't get up close to them.
