So I was driving down a road today and slid sideways into a curb at about 20 mph. both tires hit at the same time. The loudest bang ever. The rims look like **** and idk what is broke/bent. I drove home at about 5 mph because idk what is damaged. Also the road arnt 100%, thats the reason it happend in the fist place. We had some snow/ice in GA. About an inch. Here are pics...I will try to find an open tire shop tomorrow. What do yall think?!?!
Probably just needs and alignment and two new wheels.
I hope u are right. My car is my baby and i hope its just out of alingment. I can handle ulgy rims until summer. I will upgrade when I get new tires...
I hope I can have it looked at tomorrow...
Look around for some wheel repair guys in your area, they may be able to fix it pretty well by sanding it down and smoothing it out and then painting it. If these were not painted wheels you would be in trouble.
First and foremost, make sure that none of your suspension components are messed up, because they are what could put you in jeopardy.
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like. I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.
Look for a "Wheel Lathe" mobile wheel repair specialist out there in your area. Someone that can resurface the "rash" areas, then smooth, repaint to match then add the clear to finish them off. I offer this to my clients out here in my area, generally runs between $125-$150 per wheel....
Tire shop has to add a aftermarket bolt kit to fix the front alignment. The rear is bad as well. Something is bent and it has to be taken to a frame shop/body shop. They will do measurements and give me a price....****!

Oh man, that really stinks! So much for hoping it was just the wheels that were damaged.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
Cost me $10 Australian.....3 step process took about half an hour......sand....primer, sand primer, sand, paint, sand, paint, clear coat......very happy with the results.
Seriously......got a friend to try & find the mark......no go......will use again if......when.......I nudge the kerb again!
