  • Here's an odd ball one for ya

So on the way home from Houston, I took a few country roads as a shortcut. I got stuck behind a truck that was blowing a bit of smoke..no big deal. Then...BOOM!

The reminents left on my car....

Since it is a black car it was hard to get a good shot of it, but it was everywhere. I could hardly see. Nice. I got it washed about 7 hours earlier too..

Wash it again soon too... hopefully nothing too much bonded on yet.

Oh yeah, forgot that part. It was pretty late at night, and I had to be to work at 7 in the a.m. so unfortunately I couldn't get to it until this afternoon around 5pm. Combine that with a decently mild day(for mid winter) it got hot enough to bond, pretty good. It all came off, but you can see the left over oil spots where it once was.

Me too, par for the course though. One time a huge branch from my pecan tree fell on me and the car while washing it. I made it out with a decent cut or two, the car took a new dent and scratches everywhere.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Sounds like the truck you were following blew its turbo. What a mess!

I once got stuck behind a car carrier that blew a hydraulic line and ended up with fluid all over my car. I know how you feel.

I saw kid leaning out the passenger window and I got curious so I pulled up a little closer. Just in time to see him throw up. It splattered all over the front of my car.

Nope that's just good ole fashion happen stance. Started with a chip the size of literally a grain of salt, and snowballed from there. It now covers about 3/4 of my window.
