It's home!!

I got the call from the shop last night, and went to pick up the banana. It was SOOO nice driving my own car again. From the growl of the timing chain in the ecotec, to the snicking of the shifter.

It was too dark to really get a good look at the car, but I know the work is top notch. They told me to "drive it around for a few days" to get the feel of it again and to see if anything doesn't feel quite right. They told me if anything seemed off, no matter how minor to bring it back and all will be made right. Woo Hoo

Now comes the hard part.........You'll have to resist the urge to NXT it for about 30 to 60 days! If you don't already have some, you better get some #80 with the paintable polymer.

No one carries it around here that I've found, besides, I have to save my pennies to replace the driver's side mirror on the wife's Jeep that I sort of knocked off using the side of the garage door (two feet of snow + a 1-wheel drive Jeep = nasty fishtailing)

Oooops! Sorry to hear about that mishap. I've always worried about that with my TA. When I wash my car in the garage in the winter a small amount of water trickles out from the garage floor to the driveway and forms a puddle right behind the rear wheels of the TA. And of course that means ice this time of year. I have had the rear slide a little bit when moving the car in and out of the garage, but never enough to hit the side of the garage. The GTO is heavier to is tends to fishtal less than the TA did.
