  • Interesting soap dilution ratios...........

I posted that I recieved some free AutoMagic stuff the other day. Well, I used both washes and I guess they're decent but I never bothered to check the dilution ratios. I filed through some of the catalogues they sent me and found the dilution ratios for their soaps.

E-Z Suds 1:40!!!!!??????? But the directions say to use 2 ounces in a 5 gallon bucket......not bashing, just supporting why I didn't find these soaps very enjoyable.

I think I will go back to my Megs washes. I found DC wash was better than E-Z Suds but Wash and Wax Concentrate was very nice. It produces a good, thick lather that feels like shaving cream. It also enhances the gloss of the finish which is nice but for the dilution ratio, I think I will stay with UWW and Gold Class.

Just thought this was interesting considering all their soap directions say to add 2 ounes in a five gallon bucket but all of their dilution ratios are nowhere close to that.

I like the Meguiars soaps, good selection to choose from.

I do however buy other OTC soaps for wheel/tire/well cleanup.

Compared to Meguair's, these ratios are confusing. lol.

I noticed this too, when I bought a gallon of car wash shampoo on local CLEAN shop, about three months ago. On the back, the normal dilution ratio was 1:100, but also stated, "dilute the product as necessary."

I agree with Tuck91, I only use Meguiar's for my paint. I only use Super Soap, Gold Class and UWW for my paint. For tires, wheels and wheel wells, I use the soap I mentioned above and Eagle One NanoWash & Wax.

I have twelve (12) 64oz jugs of EO NanoWash & Wax. To tell you guys the truth, it does a pretty good job on the paint. It suds and cleans pretty well. However, Meguiar's is always first-rate on my book.

          UPDATE

I went ahead and tried AutoMagic No. 35 E-Z Suds and I am much more impressed. I filled a 5 gallon bucket with 1/2 gallon, poured 4 oz of concentrate and blasted the solution. Well, the suds came up and I began cleaning a hurrendous looking Honda Pilot which had considerable dirt and grime. I am sorry I didn't take any pics but this cleaned very well, did not hurt the LSP at all and produced a slick finish. I might just go to this product in the spring. Just a little review.
