Hacked email account

All,

Someone hacked into my Yahoo email account. I just recieved an email at work and some of my friends were copied in from Meguiars. It was some kind of link and I am at work right now so I cannot view it.

Please disregard any emails you get from my yahoo account, andymilczarek@yahoo.com.

Sorry for any inconvenience this could cause. I have changed the password and will be deleting the account tonight when I get home.

No worries Andy. I had the same thing happen to my Yahoo! account earlier in the year. Seems they've been targeted quite a bit lately but apparently haven't quite figured out how to prevent it from happening.

Happened to my G-mail account, and then they took over my Facebook account once they gained access to my e-mail. I tracked it down to a hacker in China.

I got lucky - recovered everything and stopped them before they got to my banking stuff.

Andy, you may want to call your bank and let them know what is going on if you do online banking, they are after more than your emails.

Thanks for the heads up Mark. This all happened after I de activated my FB account for awhile. I just don't have time for it right now. Too much going on.

No Al....... Go Eagles!! Thank goodness we don't play this week. At least we can't lose.

I just don't know what this person or persons is sending out and don't want anyone opening a link that could cause a virus or harm their computer.

Don't feel bad Andy, I'm a Cowboys fan and our season went from bad to WORSE and keeps getting worse. Oh well, there's always next year. lol.

If you get hacked and are sent a link DON'T CLICK ON IT. Things like that only need for you click on the link and they can install anything on your machine or any number of things. That's all the interaction that's needed.

Please spread the word about that. That's the last thing anyone needs. In fact, if you've clicked a link like that, I would consider formatting the machine to get rid of whatever was put on it. My 2 cents.

Basic rule of thumb - use good passwords!

Sigh. But at least we have the #1 offense and defense, right? Too bad our special teams could enter the field during pregame intros and spill out from a little car - and it would somehow all make sense.
