Let me start out by saying I love Megs products.
This "off label" use of their products is NOT endorsed by Megs*** USE AT YOUR OWN RISK for anything other than paint***
Now, my dear wife has been on a juggernaut to find a large, round, dining table for our dining room. New they were +$1,000.. not in our budget. After weeks of looking at consignment stores, online retailers and Craigslist she found one... on Craigslist
We made arrangements to buy and get it home. I regret no before pictures but, suffice to say the entire table top was cloudy, smudge laden and scratched.
We tried/purchased the following on a test spot:
Guarsdman Furniture Cleaner
Pledge Orange Cleaner
Olive Oil and lemon juice
Liquid dish soap straight on a cloth
Windex
As a final step I tried Orange Glo Liquid which has a warning that it contains petroleum distillates.
None of them made ANY change in the condition of the table top.
There is so much marketspeak in furniture cleaning about "feeding the finish" but, does polyurethane finished furniture need feeding/wax. I was not thinking so after trying all the above methods.
Let me repeat:
This "off label" use of Megs products is NOT endorsed by Megs*** USE AT YOUR OWN RISK for anything other than paint***
So, Orange Glo contains petroleum distillates (and didn't damage the finish) and knowing that many Megs products also contain petroleum distillates, I decided to try a test spot with SwirlX... I was so encouraged by the result, I showed my Wife.
After two sections by hand I moved on the DC 110 and a Yellow 2.0 pad.
I did two applications per section at the recommended speed
Here's the results.
Close up with some remaining imperfections.

Megs products Rock. A three year old trashed table was brought back. My Wife loves it.
