  • New use for armor all ...

SO I had two bottles of armor all dash protectant that were just sitting in the garage ( its too shiny for me ) Might as well experiment using them in differnet places

This is the one im talking about.

I thought I might as well use it for some thing so I Put some of it in a spray bottle and cut it 1:1 with water , I sprayed this in the wheel well of my uncles 2003 MDX ( after I cleaned them) , basically just sprayed it in and wiped everything down with a towel.
At first I thought it was going to be a dust magnet, but I did this two weeks ago, I checked it today and there was barely any dust, just enough to see a slight difference when I swiped it with my finger ( there's construction on my street so there is dust every where)
The finish was matte black then and still is now , unfortunately my sister lost my camera so I cant take a picture until I find it.

Careful with Armorall, it's my understanding that it draws the oils out of whatever you apply it to, to get that sheen. I may be wrong, but if it does, eventually the surface will dry out and crack. Try ASD instead.

This is a myth. This would imply you will only get a shine on items that are oily or have oil in them.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I really dont care for amorall, sounds intresting though. I have found the one product of theirs ive used and like is the aerosol tire dressing on the insulation under hoods. Other things I tried never worked but that.

Mike has typed it up a couple of times how Armor-All got it's not so good reputation. It was back in the day. The products nowadays are fine on whatever you want to use them on.

Interesting...I used to use Pam on my truck wheel wells before i went off roading. Worked wonders for the dirt department but not much shine...
