  • Cross border shopping / where to buy meguiars

Hey every body , I was wondering if there are any stores close to Bellis fair mall (within half an hour if possible ) that I could buy meguiar's products ( consumer or professional) from, we live less than an hour away so we come every now and then too shop. Might as well see If I can get some good prices on products, Thanks.

You can try Target in the Mall, also Fred Meyers near the mall carries some product, as does the Autozone.

        Why not order online?

No Duty, HST possibly! (depending on which side of the bed the customs agents woke up on that particular morning).

There is a shop in Bellingham called united auto electric. He carries a good selection of the professional and detailer line. The other option is to order online and ship to a service like the letter carrier in Pt. Roberts. Shorter drive and less border line up than going to Bellingham.

Do you live in Canada or the U.S.? Have you done this before? How much do they charge for the service? Will they hold large items?

My brother lives in Vancouver (Port Coquitlam) and is currently building a house in Point Roberts on a 5 acre parcel. I plan to go down there next summer. (I'll wait for him to get the work done first ).

I live in Ladner, so it's about 45 minutes round trip for me, with a stop for cheap gas !! I have seen tire and wheel packages sitting there from tire rack, so I don't think size is an issue. They have a web site with info on pricing and how to use them. I have brought in 400 dollars worth of stuff from ADS, and paid tax, and brought in smaller orders (around 100) and not had to pay anything. As someone else said, depends what mood the border services agent is in.

So... approx a 1 hour trip if things go smooth at the border, the cost of fuel, a fee from Letter Carrier, possible tax at the border... + other potential issues such as liabilities for importing restricted goods. Where do I sign up I'm just joking/having fun, but these are all things to consider. Make sure you do your homework.

BTW ask the shipper to send the NAFTA certificate of origin to avoid paying duty (if the product is manufactured in the U.S.) not all Meguiar's products are. So make sure you find out which ones are prior to placing your order.
