A sure way to zap your power source....IE..... battery and alternator is with audio equipment and anything that requires a substantial amount of energy.
If you added all of these extras without upgrading your power source to handle them then I'm really thinking that's causing your current dilemma.
Your battery and alternator were probably doing good to begin with and adding all these extras just degraded it over time to the point where your at now.

Sorry I can't tell you more since I'm a dummy when it comes to the inner workings of electronics (I hate getting shocked so I don't mess with it....unless it's a matter of life or death!)

Cars are like humans.....get them cranky enough and it's only a matter of time before they snap!

Could just be a bad battery or bad connections.

Did you do the electrical work yourself? I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you don't have certifications to do electrical work on vehicles - which is a lot harder, and more dangerous than people realize.

The VAST majority of car fires originate from improper wiring from stereos and such.

I would start with having a real audio shop check over the wiring you have done and see if you have any bad grounds.

limp mode is where the can only go in like first gear or something. it supposed to allow u to move outta traffic but prevent damage to the engine. so u don't drive@ like 80mph wit a problem. lol tow truck is on there way

Did ya ever upgrade your battery with all the other electrical upgrades you've put into the car? The battery and the alternator would be the first two suspects that I would go to since they control your cars electrical systems.

Also......what the heck is limp mode???? You gotta be alittle more descriptive.

I'm not a mechanic but that's where I would start!
