Re: Daughter Car Jacked!
I'm glad your daughter is safe.
Sorry you and your family had to experience such a horrible thing.
Maybe it wasn't the "correct" thing to do, but I'm glad she elbowed the creep in the stomach.

Re: Daughter Car Jacked!
Wow, I hope I (or anyone else for that matter) never get in that situation. At least she wasn't hurt as that's the most important thing bottom line. I hope they catch this dirt bag and put him away. Also, have her look into getting a pepper spray key chain as they only run around $13-$15 and it's something she can have for the future if anything arises.

Re: Daughter Car Jacked!
That's one scary situation and I'm glad she's alright. You're absolutely right, material things aren't as important as your life. It's always that feeling of being violated that you have to get over. Any chance of this person being tracked down??

Daughter Car Jacked!
Just a reminder to us all how things can go terribly wrong in a heart beat!
My 19yr old daughter was car jacked by knife point yesterday in a busy Post Office parking lot. The man stepped between the car and door when she opened the door and put the knife to her neck and said "get out of the ******* car or I’m going to ******* kill you". For whatever reason she reached for her keys and he told her NO get out. When she got out he grabbed her arm and tried to take her purse but, she elbowed him in the stomach and ran (crazy I know).
She is still pretty shook up and obviously upset but she was not hurt. We are counting our blessings a lot more than normal today. We are trying to help her understand that the car is not important at all in this situation. This was her first car she purchased all on her own and she was really proud of it.
One of the really upsetting things about this is this didn’t have to happen. A witness stated she had called the police twice about this man. First because he was hanging around and was acting very suspicious. The second time for beating on someone’s car, probably trying to get in and take their car.
Anyway, we are just thankful she wasn’t hurt, taken or worse. So, remind your loved ones to always be aware of your surroundings.Tags: None
