  • Getting a new car!!!!!

That's right. As a graduation present to myself, I'm trading the camry for a '09 Chevrolet Colorado. Dark green/gray color with 3LT package and I5.
I see a Saturday of transplanting my alarm and stereo, then a Sunday of detailing in store.
Out of Houston and out of that moldy camry. Good weekend coming up.

I got it and I like it. I only have a before pic right now. Badged and pinstriped.
I'll detail it tomorrow and post the pics.
It's a really fun truck it just needs a V8.

Congrats on the new truck. I've got an 05 Colorado with the I5 that has 127000 miles and counting with no issues. You should be happy with the I5. Decent power and gas mileage.

I know they're available, but I'm a mini trukka now.
When I say V8, I'm talking about a vette motor.

The 5.3 in the Colorado isn't a bad motor - want to say rated at 290 hp. Would get better mileage if they took the 5.3 with AFM in Silverados and used it in this platform.

Check out the Colorado forums like 355nation.net or Coloradofans.com. One of the guys on one (or both) of those sites did a LS V8 swap into his I4 or I5 truck and documented it pretty well. Like most late model vehicles, integrating the new engine to the ECM was the biggest hurdle.
