  • would u do this?

So last year I had my hatch tinted with 35 percent tint. Its very light and I want something darker to help wit the heat and to help with looks. My car has a lot of windows and its crazy hot in the south. I can get it done for around 150. Will cops mess wit me a lot? What would u do?

As long as the tint in within is your local laws, you should be ok.

The only other thought....the darker the rear window / hatch, the tougher it is to see when backing out of spots, especially at night !!!

Yea. Well legal is 32 so I guess I will be vilotating the law. But I've heard that some small issues are over looked...

Here's the law for your state...

I have "limo" dark on my back window and one step lighter on my side windows. Not legal here but I have never been hassled.
        Black......the ONLY color!

          Young driver+dark tint=cop magnet
          Older driver+tinting done right=no problems.

I agree with both of you guys. I have limo in the rear window and two back doors and 1 shade lighter in the front doors. It does make it more difficult to back up, especially at night, even to the point where I have had to roll my driver and passenger side windows down in order to use the mirrors.

As for the laws. Watch your local laws and yes it does make a difference if it looks "factory" I live in Philadelphia where the laws are more liberal regarding tint, but I work in New Jersey where it is absolutely forbidden. I haven't gotten stopped for my tint as it is very well done and of course I'm old!!! lol
