  • Woo ADS Order Came In - Makita!

God I just love Rick at ADS. I place my order yesterday morning, he got everything together that same day, had it out in the mail at 5pm and it arrived today via standard UPS! Talk about fast!!!

I picked up the Makita Rotary Package which comes with the Rotary, a D handle, a side handle, a backing plate, a bag, and 2 wool pads. I also ordered a few lighter pads for finishing. I snagged a wool pad spur (they were out of brushes for foam pads, but I'll pick one up later), as well as 2 chemical resistant sprayers for my Wheel Brightener. I also picked up 2 sheets of each 2000, 2500, and 3000. It came with a foam sanding block as well, even though I already have one. I had a little extra money in my paypal account so I decided heck, my not, so I snagged some Meguiar's masking tape, various brushes, and a bottle of M135.

I'm going to be picking up some Meguiar's wool pads and foam pads / backing plates in the near future so stay tight for a picture of that!

    Here it is!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

That's some real nice pro equipment there Andrew. Hopefully it makes you a lot of money.

I think I had already asked this before, but has anyone found the Makita pads to be of any quality at all? I think someone said that they used the pads on their test hood but didn't want to risk doing it on an actual car.

Congrats! I know you were going back and forth between the Makita and the Flex. I think you will be happy with your choice. Flexes are fine machines, but Makitas seem to be the standard for rotary polishers.
