  • What makes you wanna detail your car?

What inspires you to go out there and wash your car and detail it up? For me it's being proud of my ride and knowing it looks great. It's fun to work the product in and up to a high gloss shine. Plus afterwords it makes me feel accomplished; like I've done something worth it.

it started out as a way to tranfer my energies to a constructive purpose. since i am away from my family for up to seven months at a time. while i was detailing i thought of my family and especially my little son because he is always with me when i am home.

after a while it became a satisfying experience. seeing the process thru each step. so what was started as a way to think about my family has become a way to satisfy many needs and have a sense of accomplishment as well as pride in the beautiful look that it provides me. the last thing to mention now is i do like to hear nice compliments, also.

I love a clean, shiny ride. Also, I find it to be great stress therapy. Probably why I am much more stressed during winter months when it's too cold to detail the car.

You know, I've never thought about that, but now that you mention it, you're right!

For me, It reduces stress, Allows me to learn about the different products and how to use them, its Fun, and nothing is better than showing up in my 135k mile miata and having people say, wow, thats a nice NEW car!

besides, a lot of people see me driving, and I think driving a clean car makes a good impression.

"What makes you wanna detail your car?"

              The dirt usually!

damn these salty roads and UK weather! Currently under a "Weather Warning" for the high winds so not a lot of point washing the car today as most of the water won't reach the car!

I love driving a clean car and looking at a clean car. But really, the main reason is that I enjoy it. I think if I hated the process but loved the results, I probably would rarely do it.

What makes me go out and detail my car? That’s an excellent question, and after thinking about
it for a little while I still don’t have a great answer. It would be easy to say I have obsessive
compulsive disorder, but that isn’t true because I don’t like washing dishes. I definitely agree
with those who said it is a great stress reliever. I also enjoy the results that detailing provides.
Truthfully, when I’m finished I can stare at my car for hours. We jokingly refer to ourselves
as Car Crazy and this can probably be proven scientifically if we let someone examine our brains.
I know that when I detail someone else’s vehicle I still feel pride in a job well done and you
can see the appreciation from the customer when they see the finished product. One customer
told me he works out six days a week, but feels driving a freshly detailed car gives him more
satisfaction than all that time in the gym. I think there is some stimulus in the brain that drives
this, but how come my siblings don’t have it? I must confess I am totally addicted to cars and have
been for as long as I can remember. In the good old days everything we did revolved around cars.
Cruising around at night, going to drive in movies, burger joints, meeting girls and even street racing
                    though I don’t encourage it.
So what makes me go out and detail my car? I think I have too, It’s who I am!
