  • Ahhhh, the many faces of M105...

First off, let me say that nothing in the post is Meguiar's certified Meguiar's and/or myself, take ABSOLUTELY no responsibility for listening to me
Now with that out of the way...

We all know how awesome M105 is on paint, right? And we're heard and seen how great it is on polishing aluminum, right?

Here's some 50/50 shots of M105 on paint.....Rotary with purple foamed wool pad, 1 pass on this Suburban....

And now for something completely different....

We were working on the 1962 Maserati Gran Turismo, and nothing, I mean nothing was budging this 60 years of dirt ground into the leather! We tried every leather cleaner possible, and NOTHING made a dent! Even APC and Magic Eraser! Then it came to mind! Lets give M105 a shot! After all, it works on everything else right? lol

    Some 50/50 shots

So lets add 1 more face to M105

This message is in no way, shape, or form supported by Meguiar's! If you screw up your leather trying this, then you are on your own! I tried it, and it worked, you may get different results!

    Nick

That is amazing. I don't think I would have tried that. But, hey it works. The seat looks great.

There's nothing worse than 48 year old dirt

Of course he didn't, Mary. A rotary would have been too aggressive for the leather. He used a DA with Meg's 4 inch cutting pads, followed up with a 4 inch finishing pad. Really brings out the shine of the leather. I think I could make out a reflection, too.

I wonder if a small bristled brush and some APC at 4:1 would work, working a small area for a long period of time.

                    Haha that is pretty amazing!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                    Remove swirls my friends.

Those 50/50 pictures are just fantastic!!

I think Meguiar's made a mistake hitting the market with M105, that product is from the future or something

                      Really nice job Nick

Tried it, no dice! This is the first time I've been left scratching my head with leather! This stuff just refused to come clean!

                            Did you try leatherique?

                            Either way, looks good!

So even when you directly sprayed the surface with APC it didn't do anything?
