    The BMW paint is pretty hard, that is what my test hood is. But those car wash-generated swirls might be shallow even though they are numerous, so my guess is you can get most of it and be in the safety of wet sanding but it may leave some deeper scratches. If you can't wet sand, I think you can make it look much better. The scratches on my hood are not that even and fine.

              If that really is clear coat failure then you'll have a tough time with it, Nick - unless you've recently acquired a paint booth. But if it isn't clear coat failure, we have every confidence that you can bring this back beautifully.

              Heck, did you see what Wolf-Strong did to an even older black BMW by hand with our new Rubbing Compound and Polishing Compound? His results by hand were outstanding, and we suspect you're going to get a tad more aggressive in your process on this one.
