  • Purses and paint do not mix

So, I did the hood on my dad's Honda Pilot the other day with UC on a W8207 pad followed by Swirlx on a W9207 pad on a G110V2. The hood came out beautifully with wonderful depth. I followed that process up with GC+ and the refelctions were incredible since the car is black.

Anyway, I go out to my car this evening to get some gas and what I see horrified me. My mom is standing next to the car looking through her purse when all of a sudden she throws it atop the hood and viciously searches for something. My heart sank a little on seeing this and I rushed over to stop the pain. As she was moving the purse all over the hood she was telling me what an awesome job I did and how it looked so good. I then told her that she has just scratched it up again but she did not believe me and began feeling the surface with the palm of her hand and her bracelet riding against the paint as she did it. Now I have my scratched up hood again, but thats okay because I get more practice. I now know why the deck lid of my mom's car looked like a tazmanian devil was tap dancing on it. lol

BTW, I love my mom and would never disrespect which is why I ended up agreeing with her that no damage was done at all. She is the one who bought me the G110V2 as a gift and a lot detailing supplies so I am very grateful for that. Just wanted to input that so no one thinks that I am a rude PITA who yells at their mom. Some of my friends do that and I find it incredibly disrespectful. Anyway, thanks for reading!

Ouch Cooper! At least you and your mom have good relationship, and it sounds like she appreciates your work.
