  • Bug Guard/hood protector??

So i have had one a my car for about a yr..its black..Im gonna soon be doin some upgrades to get a "sporty" look..and i think it takes away from that experience...So does it actually "do" something productive? Or is it just for looks?

I have one, and it has kept the hood from getting rock chips on the nose like most cars do.

If it's in good shape...still shiny and still solid (no cracks etc)...keep it. I wish I had mine this past winter driving the PA Turnpike. I had a number of small stone chips on the edge of my hood...and most were slightly rusting!!!
If you do a lot of travelling...especially on major highways...use the deflector.
