  • What iam building in the evenings

Due to the lack of space i had taking over the kitchen with my products, i decided to keep my wife happy and make a small shed outside the house so i bought some 2x2, 2 sheets of siding, some 1/2" OSB and started working. i have been having free time due to the fact that buisness slowed down alot here in Chile (mainly because of the 8.8 earthquake that hit us about 30 days ago), and decided to fix and do things around the house in the free time and test out stuff in my truck... enjoy the pics..

NOTE: i have been detailing part time for about 5 months.

1st day... taking some measurement of my tool boxes and spray bottles...

    2nd day... paint and doors

Still gotta get a handle.. but its protected with a small keylock just in case

Some lightning for those late nights.

Top Shelf and left door: consumer products for clients and some brushes, brinkman, gritguards and samples on door

Middle Shelf: all my gallons and detailer products, spray bottles and dispensing bottles with compounds and sealents

Bottom shelf: tools (2 DA 2 Rotaries) opened consumer products, foam gun, hyper dressing and degreaser gallon, some CCS/MEGS pads in the back

Floor: 2 tool boxes for mobile detailing, 2 buckets with used pads inside.. microfibers inside small black box, headlight polishing kit, aplicator pads, various brushes, sandpaper and mixed stuff in big box. small preasure washer

hope you like it.. it might inspire you to build something like it, i still need to finish the roof and electrical system for the inside lighting, also finish the insulation to keep the heat and cold out and will install some plugs on the side for conecting all my tools because i work on cars rigt next to it..

With everything nice and tidy in the packaging, it looks like you have a small vending booth at a trade show or something. Looks great.

Awesome, looks like a high-end detailer's candy store!.

I wonder how long it takes to drive from New Orleans to Chilie for a detail?

Very nice Nelson. Looks well organized which makes your job alot easier and quicker to find the product & tools you need. I have a whole project myself I need to try and tackle.

By the way hope all is going well after the earthquake.

Re: What iam building in the evenings

Thanks everyone for the coments, it really helps alot when everything is organized... i still need to buy more things, like an extractor, vaccum, and a bigger pressure washer, and some stuff from Megs 2010 that should be ariving soon.. but little by little, this is more like a paid hobby for me,

i started about 4-5 months ago with a borrowed g220 a used burgundy pad and 1/2 bottle of ultimte compound, from John Jutzy (great friend from MEGUIARS CHILE)and did my fist correcction like that since then i have been getting diferent works and buying more products and tools.

a while back the work was going great (1 car daily 7days a week) and then the earthquake came, it didnt damage the capital but people spent their money on food and fuel, thing now are going back to normal but March is when licence plates are due and people have to pay them, so its a sloww month for everything, i have been getting some GOOD jobs with some production companies here for filming car comercials like the 2012 Touareg Hybrid, Megane Coupe CC and VW Amarok. i have been wanting to make a mega post with pictures to show how fun it was. i need to take some hours to make it hehehe.
