    How's your team doin'?

The brackets are a nightmare this year, but that's OK.

I look for a Duke - Kentucky rematch in the Final Four.

Hey, Carolina's in the final four of the NIT.

            Oops!

            Better revise the brackets again.

Duke is a hard team to gauge.

Their frontcourt players looked sloppy to me...yet, they've lost only five games this year.

My gut is leaning toward UWV Saturday night, but the way this tournament has played out, I wouldn't be surprised if Duke played in the title game.

MSU's experience will be too much for Butler.

I didn't think my Alma Mater would make it past the second round... Now I'm wondering if they can actually pull it off?

Well, so much for gut & experience.

Duke will take it all Monday night.

Didn't watch either semi-final game, so I know little about Butler, but Duke will / should take it all.

Will the "butler" do it? lol Surprised that Butler got past Michigan State. I agree with Rusty, Duke will win.

If Butler does pull off a win, then I suppose the game will be ranked as one of the biggest upsets since NC State beat Houston in 1983.

Frankly, though, Duke should win this game, but this Duke team is not as good as some of the Duke teams of the past.

This year's team would have gotten pasted by last year's Carolina squad.

I think that familiarity with the hoopla of the final four. Will give Duke a edge, mentally. There program has a rich history were this is a expected "conclusion" each year. The team at Butler does not have this history. All new to them. It will be interesting to see how they react. How they handle the spotlight.

                              Well, hats off to Duke!

Coach K picked up his 4 national title, and deservedly so...although Butler came oh so close at the last second to winning the game. I thought Duke would win in a blowout, but Butler hung in till the bitter end. This contest will no doubt be a benchmark for title games to come.

I don't how many years coach K has left in him, but we here in NC have been extremely fortunate to have witnessed his masterful coaching accomplishments over the last three decades.

And not just him only, but in my 40 years of following ACC basketball I have been privileged to see the likes of...

Dean Smith - Great Carolina coaching legend.

Frank McGuire - Has NC ties, but he also coached South Carolina to a #2 ranking behind UCLA when SC was part of the ACC.

Norm Sloan - Who can forget David Thompson & team that dethroned UCLA? Sloan also recruited the nucleus of Jim Valvano's championship club.

Jim Valvano - I can still see him running amok in Albuquerque after his team beat a superior Houston club. Valvano was the master of junk defensive schemes, and a great motivator too.

Lefty Driesell - His 1974 team was part of one of the greatest games ever played against Sloan's eventual NCAA title winning club. Too bad the ACC was only allowed one team to compete in the NCAA tournament in those years. Driesell's team had the stuff to win it all.

Terry Holland - Had some great runs in the Ralph Sampson years, and was always competitive against the teams from tobacco road.

Bobby Cremins - Played for Frank McGuire at South Carolina, and then coached some great teams at Georgia Tech. You never would have known he had a speech impediment in his playing days.

Roy Williams - A stellar coaching career at both Kansas, and UNC with 2 titles to his credit so far.

There were others, like Bones Mckinney & Evert Case, but I was too young to remember them.

This old basketball fan has a lot of fond memories watching the conference mature over the years. I hope the tradition goes on, but you never can tell what the future holds.
