Big Jimmy and the Meguiar's MTC

Meguiar's is one of our Manufactures represented at this year's Detail Fest here in Stuart, Florida which takes place next weekend here at Autogeek

Until the event starts the Meguiar's MTC is parked out front of our brand new Training Facility and I took a moment to park Big Jimmy next to it and take a picture.

Re: Big Jimmy and the Meguiar's MTC

I'm sorry to say the my Jimmy was rear-ended before Christmas, the good news is truck built back in 1975 were built using real sheet metal and Jimmy took the hit and is still going strong.

I took these pictures just a week before the accident...

Had the Bikini Top made shorty after getting the Jimmy to Florida, it rains around here at the drop of a hat...

The next truck will be 3/4 ton as I want the longer wheel base for better stability when building a big truck. Since there was never a factory full convertible 3/4 ton body style I'll make my on like I did with Big Blue, this was my 1971 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4x4, it too had a Big Block Chevy engine plus a 2-ton Military Transfercase, Detroit Lockers front and rear with 4:11 gears and 44" tall Super Swampers. Note the military style soft top...

The new truck I build will also get I-Beam bumpers like you see on the back of Big Blue...

Re: Big Jimmy and the Meguiar's MTC

I'm down here today setting up the new studio along with a team of people getting ready for Detail Fest.

David Pedre will be here representing Meguiar's and answering questions so if your attending be sure to stop by the Meguiar's truck and say hi to David and all the Meguiar's crew.

We'll have all the new Meguiar's products available in the new Training Center for anyone to try including the new Unigrit Finishing System, Spot Repair buffing pads and M105 is you want to play with a Surbuf MicroFinger Pads as well as the new G110v2 DA Polishers.

Couple of shots of the Meguiar's MTC out front...

Look at how carefully Rich Evans flowed the flames and graphics into the door.

                    Jimmy's sporting a brand new Pirate's Flag!

Instead of an "I" beam bumper did you ever consider using a section of railroad rail for a bumper? I had a buddy do that in high school and it was awesome.

Nah... I really like the I-Beam bumpers, massive size can be used as an anvil, works great for adding a 3' to 4' Drop hitch made out of 4" square stock and 1/2" plate...

Technically I'm going to use H-Beam, not I-Beam...
