  • Goodbye my love!!!

Well Next week I will be saying goodbye to my car. It will be hard but I know its best. I will be getting laid off again for who knows how long probably permanetly and with a wedding coming up in September and wanting to buy a house, I know it will be best to sell her. On the other hand selling the car will also allow me to pay off my daily driver and be debt free, so all in all I guess it will work out. Untill then may I shall spend every second with her while she sits in the garage.

Yes, not worrying about car payments or credit cards is going to be a great feeling, but not having my car to go out and cruise around in will be a bummer. Guess I will have to focus on cleaning others this summer seems I wont have to go to car shows every weekend.

That is how I felt after I sold my second camaro. I wanted to keep it so bad, but college came first. I long to cruise the streets on a nice summer day again but It will have to wait I guess.

Do not do it. who cares about bills they will always be there, is the money you get from the car going to be life changing? Or just to continue to buckle down and pay off the other debts.

              Re: Goodbye my love!!!

I can relate. I bought a new 1966 Chevelle SS396 in 1966 and decided to get married a bit later. I was making about $70 a week gross at the time and my wife to be couldn't drive a 4-speed so I let it go and wound up driving a 1962 Chevy BelAir.

Long story short... that was probably one of the best moves I made in my life. We got married, bought a brand new home, and raised a fine family. Today I buy and drive what I want and have been happily married for 44 years. Think big picture and long term. Being debt free is definitely a big plus.
