  • Thank you...

Thank you to everyone here on MOL. What am i thanking you all for? Your help..Ive been here on MOL for a good while now and honestly have learned more than any few youtube videos could show me. Years ago, i used to wash my car with one small bucket and if i dropped the sponge, id pick it up and keep going. Dont ask me why ! i couldnt tell you..i was young Now my finishes look as if they just came off the auction floor. I've learned a lot about paint polishing, car washing, wheel cleaning, etc. etc. etc..i can honestly say there is a technique for EVERYTHING. and i cant even stress how many techniques ive learned that just come natural now thanks to all you guys..but on a serious note...To all the Mikes, admins, coordinators, members,..and MOL itself, thanks for all the help. I've been through the hundreds of threads, the how to videos, the how to pictures, the write ups, the stories, the lectures, the facts, ive read more on MOL than i do in my school books. and everyday it seems that i find one more thing new that i never knew that helps me the next day while washing the car. This all sounds so cheesy, but honestly, everyone here on MOL answers to each other's question like its our jobs..and i love it. i can get an answer to even an emergency situation question here on MOL faster than i could dial 911 ! and i mean that. thanks everyone !

            Re: Thank you...

We try really hard to make MOL a place where the complete novice can come to learn, and where a seasoned pro can come to discuss advanced processes. We all love watching novices grow and become more confident and more skilled as they develop into seasoned pros. When we see that happen we know we're on the right track.

Having you guys give this type of feedback is just icing on the cake! So like Mike Pennington said, thanks to all of you for making our jobs so much fun!

I think this is something we all do once we learn proper care with our paint/plastics/rubber.

I used to use dish soap, old wash cloth, dry with an old beach/bath towel and used an old school wax and removed with an old beach/bath towel. I thought I had one shiny ride!

              RUNNING WITH SCISSORS!

Now I have more chemicals and products for different areas of car cleaning and use them correctly.

Yes, Meguiar's is the 911 of the car industry.

I remember a truck I did that had a rubbery shell on some running boards (Dodge Ram 2500) and I called Meguiar's and got Michael Stoops on the horn and he told me what he would use (M40 of course) and it turned out marvelous without missing a beat on the detail.

Nice thread that most of us can relate to.

              I'm still learning stuff

              Good show
