Watching Mythbusters on Netflix via the XBOX...got to the first ever "Viewer's Special" episode. There is the one where the kid writes and wants them to blow up his parents car. They go to the fans "favorite" Mythbusters spot, a rock quarry, where they blew up the cement truck and did the 22,000' fall explosion (?). Well, I'm watching them tow the car up a hill to the spot where they are going to blow it up. I'm thinking to myself, gosh, that place looks very, very familiar...like Calaveras, New Melones area familiar. Sure enough, a few seconds later, here comes a "Serving Amador County" ambulance and a Calaveras County Sheriff SUV, then a Melones fire truck! Where they blew up the car is one of the rock quarries I have gone and worked at! The pad where they blew the car up I'm pretty dang sure is exactly where I was working for a week as a matter of fact! I have worked and been to where the Mythbusters go to blow stuff up, lol!
I know it's not the most exciting thing in the world, but I thought it was pretty neat!
