Great order, congrats. Let us know how you like the G110v2. I, like others are waiting for my G110v1 dies to get the new one.

        Good luck with everything.

It is just the way wire thickness is measured. The lower the number, the thicker the wire. The more power you're drawing and the longer the distance the thicker the wire you want. So you'll need a thicker, or lower gauge cord to run your DA off a 100 foot extension cord than you would off a 50 foot extension cord.

Personally, I use a 25 foot extension cord and have no problems. 50 feet would be way to much cord for me.

            Fantstic order cieraSL!

I use a 25 ft extention cord too but one that has 4 outlets on the reel.Like this type reel because I can roll the cord up quick & easy in the reel and the convenience of having up to 4 outlets.

How is everybody on here cleaning their Soft Buff 2.0 pads? Do you just throw them in the washer or what? I got some pad cleaning solution from Autogeek but just wondered what everybody else was doing.

Shane, we use Tide liquid laundry detergent and set the washer on heavy duty cycle, warm water, and go. When that's done they go in the dryer on a similar heavy duty cycle, then back on the shelf. That's what we do here at work, and at home it's the same process, just a different liquid laundry detergent.

As always, no fabric softener or dryer sheets, but you already knew that.

How often do you do that process at work? Meaning how frequently do those pads get washed? Any signs of wear?

Shane, i pretty much wash my pads after every use..im just a clean freak. if your going to use the pad really quickly, for instance a quick touch up or something, then just throw it in the washer after use...but if you use the pad heavily, such as buffing the whole car, or waxing the whole car, your pad is going to get built up with product..the best solution i have found for getting the build up out is before you throw them in the wash, just run oover to the sink, spray some APC on the pad, wait 30 seconds, and rinse and squeeze them in the sink to get out most of the built up product buried deep into the pad, then just throw them into the washing machine as Mike Stoops said..i know it sounds like a lot of steps, but its really not..it will take you 2 minutes to do all of it, its just waiting for the washing machine from there

We've got pads here that have been washed literally dozens of times and they still look and feel practically brand new.

Somebody either on here or on Autogeek had made the statement that they washed their pads in the washer, then found out later that they were getting product buildup on the sides of the washer. I know my mom wouldn't appreciate that. Which is why I was leaning a bit more towards the let-'em-soak-in-a-bucket method. Thoughts on this? Anybody else have problems with product buildup in the washer?

nope no product buildup in the washer. but that would be the key to squeezing out as much product as you can in the sink with some APC or dish soap

The thing that worries me about doing that is this statement from the DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator page:

Even with these exciting advances in the detailing world, the method for cleaning polisher accessories has never quite measured up. Detailers commonly wash used pads in dish soap or a degreaser. While these products do remove wax and polish from the pad, they deposit a soapy residue that can reactivate the next time you moisten the pad with a car care product. Even thorough rinsing sometimes cannot remove all the soap.

                              Anybody had this problem?

shane i can assure you that has never happened once..and ive washed my pads at least 20 times so far. probably just a marketing thing..remember its only APC, APC will rinses right out..and dont forget your throwing the pads into the washer after, which will clean out any excess dish soap or APC you used as a pre rinse..you really have nothing to worry about. try for yourself and you will see..the pads will be fine
