  • Does anybody know about painting cars?

    Specifically, black trim.
    I have a CX-9, and the lower portion rear bumper has some scuffs on it. You can see in the picture below, it's just like a flat black trim..

    Could I repaint it myself? Just sand it down, tape off everything else, and spray it with a black trim paint?

    Trim paint is decent, if you can find a good Krylon Fusion match, that bonds to plastic very well. Lots of people using it on the bottom trim of the 2002+ Ford Explorers on the Explorer Forum, and it comes out really, really good.
