Found out yesterday that I will be going in for my 2nd back surgery on Monday January 25th
I've got Spinal Stenosis now, where the spinal cord is constricted causing lots and lots of pain for myself. Normal diameter for the spinal column is 14mm. Starts getting pretty painful at around 12-10mm, and intense pain sets in at around 9-8mm. Mine is at 6mm, well beyond the pain free zone
They're going in to relieve the pressure around the spinal column and hopefully get me back to normal.
All this past year, since my last surgery(January 21st 2009) they've been telling me that everything was fine, and basically all the pain I've been having has been in my head. So on one hand I'm sad that they found something wrong with me and I'm going to have to have another surgery, but on the other hand I'm really glad they finally figured out what was wrong with me and that the pain wasn't just in my head, and are(hopefully) able to fix the problem.
So thats it, I'm a broke down old man
