220v Extension Cord?

I'm looking to buy a used treadmill, however the power cord for it is 220v cord, like used for a dryer.

does anyone know if 220v extension cords are available?

I dont want to hire someone to wire up a new outlet

Home centers like Lowes and Home Depot have longer cords but I am very surprised a treadmill would be 220v Is it a commercial unit from a gym ?

the treadmill is a Quintin Q55 a hospital treadmill used for cardiac and stress tests. its very heavy duty!

That makes sense I would take the old cord along and lowes or home depot should have it if it is the same as a dryer or a range.

Off topic, but do you have leather/suede seats in your magnum? What do you use to clean? My son just got a 2006 SRT.

Make sure you verify the plug configuration before buying a new cord or having one made. Different configurations designate different voltages, amperage, and wiring/grounding configuration of the cord and machine.

I'm with Boiler on this one. Try and find the nameplate on the treadmill and make sure someone hasn't modified it somehow and mismatched the motor and the cord for some crazy reason.

Not sure if you found your solution yet, but I'd like to point out that if you don't want to rewire the receptacle, you can use a small step-up/step-down voltage transformer. You'd still need a plug adapter cord, but after you get your correct configuration, this device will allow you to toggle between 110V and 220V.
