Just two thing. Find a higher resolution picture for your front page. It looks a tad grainy, plus the edited license plate job looks unprofessional.

You're only charging $80 for paint correction? I'll drive to Georgia and let you work on my car every month!

        Re: my new website

$80 for paint correction is way to low. Imagine ALL that you will be doing (plus supplies), especially if a car is hammered and you spend an hour on the wheels/wells alone. Your time and effort is worth more than that.

You're way way way undercharging your customers on your packages. $80 for a full detail! There are hacks who charge more than that. Don't sell yourself short.

Also, I think you need more (and smaller) pictures, so people can see the detail in further depth. Just being able to see one side of the car doesn't say much, IMO.

Anyway, that's what I saw. Hope this helps!

I think it looks very good. I liked the layout and did not see anything wrong with the way it looks... other then the Godaddy free hosting banner. Not sure what your plans are but I'd make a priority of getting the site hosted without a banner. it would look much more professional.

            I'm impressed.

I also think you need a higher resolution image. It would show off how your finished product woulde look. Instead of the grainy image you have there.

I also would call around to various detailers in your area to see how your prices compare. I believe you are aon the low side. If it took 8 hours to wash, do a full paint correction, and wax after expenses you are netting less then $10.00 per hour. Way to low.

                Re: my new website

Your layout and actual site design are great. The site is easy to navigate and not excessively cluttered.

Things to think about that would imporve the look and feel:

                1. Get Go Daddy's Premium Hosting. For the site you have, you can get simple packages for less than $10 a month and it won't have the free banner on the top. Many people judge a company by its site and having a free hosted site can leave a bad taste in some people's mouth.

                2. If possible, research the avaialble domain names and look for something .com. A .info address isn't bad, but most people are used to looking for .com and so if they remember the name of your company they will often look for you on the web with .com. If the local competition is .com, you've just sent your customers someplace else.

                3. Your photo galleries need a little work. Start with cropping the images a little. The car should be the main focus of the photo. You don't need all the grass etc in the front. You might also consider resizing the full sized images a bit. They seemed to load a bit slow. It's been a while since I've used Website Tonight, but double check as you should be able to display a different name under the photo rather than the file name. That will look a bit more professional.

Hopefully that helps ya out a bit. I've done several web projects over the years and everytime I do one, I learn a little something more based on people's feedback and my own experiences. It can be a lot of work and it can be frustrating, but at the end of the day when it's done right and it looks perfect, it's worth it.

                Good luck!

Looking better. I know what a whooping these "works in progress" can be. I've got one that I've been dealing with for 2 years now and while other people love it, it's still not all I want it to be.

Naming the pics with make and model made the pages look much better.

Here are a few suggestions for you in the photo dept:

                      1. Crop the photos a bit and then resize them. They are loading very slow as a result of their size. When viewing them in slide show mode at medium speed, the pages are changing before the photos are even fully loaded.

                      2. Before and after pictures on each package would be awesome. I'm not sure if you have them up and I couldn't see them as a result of the way the load, but from what I could see the pics all look just after shots. With no point of comparison, customers can't see the quality of your work.

Keep plugging away and you'll eventually get what you want. It took me over 2 months to get my first website together. Like I said, the site I'm running now has been up for like 2 years and still isn't what I want it to be

I suggest that your premium package is still too low. Here in Roanoke, the equivalent package would cost about $150-$250, depending on the level of paint correction needed. After all, a full detail as you describe is usually a 10-13 hour job, right? Call around and find out what your competition is charging. You don't want to price yourself too low--people might get the impression that you do low quality work. You want to be competitive, but you don't want to be seen as giving away your services.

I think as time goes by and you've got a few paid details, you'll get a better idea on how much you should charge (your prices will be better set in concrete) with all of your hard labor and then some you've put into. Good luck with everything
